The Thirteenth Warrior
In the year A.D. 922, a refined Arab courtier named Ahmad IbnFadlan, representative of the powerful Caliph of Baghdad, was sent to establish peace with the King of The Land of the Bulgars, which is present day Bulgaria. He was separated from his caravan, and accompanies a band of Vikings into the North against his will. Ibn is appaled by the Vikings customs -- their disregard for cleanliness, their cold-blooded human sacrifices, their wanton sexuality. He then must fight for his life along side them to destroy the unknown moster that devours their flesh...
